7-Eleven is all about convenience. One of the world’s most popular quick-stop chains, they have always tried to make gassing up your car and grabbing snacks and essentials as quick and easy as possible. As their technology footprint began to grow rapidly, the experience of being a 7-Eleven customer became disjointed and inefficient. Raw Materials set out to solve the experience problems while creating a mobile product that was truly 7-Eleven in brand, convenience, and innovation. Fueled by hard-earned insights, the resulting product unified their disparate mobile technology capabilities in a single app and platform for future feature growth.

When 7-Eleven came to Raw Materials, they had recently completed a brand refresh from Deutsch LA and new campaign photography. It was clear to us that 7 eleven was trying to mature (aesthetically) into a contemporary brand that felt relevant without losing their brand equity. A large part of our contribution to the new brand was a bespoke illustration library that hinged on the idea of 7-Eleven being the "future of convenience," a motion language, and a scalable typographic system for the digital experience.
